Music workshop with pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii

The pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii will hold a music workshop for Hawaiian elementary school students.
Held at Waikiki Shell, students attending elementary schools near the venue will be invited to participate free of charge. Through interaction with Tsujii and his piano at a local venue, the workshop aims to inspire students to feel the joy of connecting with one another through music, regardless of their nationality, race, language, disability, or age.

  • Date and time: 10:00-11:30, Saturday, November 19, 2022
  • Location: Tom Moffatt Waikiki Shell open-air concert venue, Honolulu, Hawaii
  • Participation/observation: free*
    • Only elementary school students invited by ANA are eligible to participate in the music workshop, but everyone is welcome to observe the workshop free of charge

     

Session two: 2 pm – 5:30 pm

Ukulele Picnic Concert

ANA ‘Aha Mele focuses on the ukulele, an instrument which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. As part of its efforts to carefully pass on Hawaii’s culture and music to future generations, ANA will hold a ukulele concert in collaboration with the “Ukulele Picnic in Hawaii” sponsored by the Ukulele Foundation of Hawaii.

  • Date and time: 14:00-17:30, Saturday, November 19, 2022
  • Location: Tom Moffatt Waikiki Shell open-air concert venue, Honolulu, Hawaii
  • Participation/observation: free*
    • Only invited children are eligible to participate in the workshop, but everyone is welcome to observe the workshop free of charge
